The Last Card in the First Set
Treecko β is card #109 of 109 β literally the final card in the first set to ever feature Gold Stars. Alongside Mudkip and Torchic, it completed the Hoenn starter trio and closed out a set that would be remembered for introducing the most prestigious rarity tier in TCG history.
The shiny form replaces standard green with a deeper teal. Fukuda captures the Grass-type in a characteristically agile pose, as if ready to spring from a tree branch.
Of the three originals, Treecko trades at similar levels to Mudkip and well below Torchic. For new collectors entering the Gold Star space, the Hoenn trio is the most accessible entry point.
