Crystal Kabutops is card #150 of 144 — the absolute last card in Skyridge, which means it's the last secret rare of the last WOTC set. It's the period at the end of an era.
Kabutops is the only fossil Pokémon to receive the Crystal treatment, giving it a unique distinction in the series. The Crystal Types — Water, Lightning, and Fighting — match the ancient predator's versatile combat style, with its razor-sharp scythe arms rendered in Saitou's dynamic, energy-charged composition.
The card's Triple Cutter attack can deal up to 90 damage with favorable coin flips — making it one of the more viable Crystal cards in actual gameplay. But of course, nobody's playing these anymore; they're display pieces and investment assets.
