The Sun Pokémon's Points Prize
The Play Promo Espeon required 50,000 points — 20,000 fewer than Umbreon, reflecting the Pokémon Company's awareness that Umbreon was the more popular Eeveelution. Even so, 50,000 points represented an enormous commitment to competitive play.
Espeon's green shiny form is one of the most visually striking in the franchise, and Fukuda's Gold Star artwork captures it beautifully. The Japanese Play Promo version is the original — the English POP5 version was adapted from this release.
The pair displays beautifully together — sun and moon, day and night, Espeon and Umbreon. Many collectors pursue both as a matched set.
