Shining Steelix's gold coloration is one of the most visually striking in the Shining series. The normally silver Iron Snake Pokémon transforms into a golden serpent that looks like it was forged in an ancient furnace — a dramatic makeover that photographs beautifully.
Steelix has always been popular among Gen II fans — the surprise trade evolution of Onix, a staple of Jasmine's gym, and one of the most imposing designs in the franchise. The Shining version amplifies that imposing quality.
